Warner Bros starts film production in a UV platform and has invited amazon as their initial market gainer for this new event.
During these discussions, neither Amazon nor Warner Bros made a comment on this new big project.
Dan Rayburn, principal analyst at research firm Frost & Sullivan, says,
I’d love to know what kind of terms Amazon received. UV appears to have been heading into CES without a big retail partner on board and the potential embarrassment over that likely gave Amazon the upper hand in talks. Now, we have to see how many of the other studios will get their own Amazon deals and whether Amazon’s adoption of UV will help attract other retailers.
The only irrational fact is that WB does this after selling their BluRay copies of that particular film. So simply, who would ever purchase them again from Amazon? Both the companies might have to think rationally and practically without thinking logically on introducing new features and products.
