Recently, the US government tried to bring the Stop Online Privacy Act which will be intended to fight online privacy issues. But, many feared that it will break the internet. US is trying to control the whole web! A lot of big tech companies like Google and Facebook were against this act. GoDaddy who tried to accept the act had to deal with angry customers which abandoned them right away…
Just now, we got some good new on this topic… The authoer of this act have just removed the DNS blocking of foreign sites! This is a huge victory for the whole Web!
I feel we should remove DNS-blocking from the Stop Online Piracy Act so that the [U.S. House Judiciary] Committee can further examine the issues surrounding this provision.
