After Gnome, KDE is the next most popular desktop environment in Linux. But unlike most of the others, KDE have more features and functions packed inside it. Some will call it “too much fat”. The new KDE 4.8 contains some major updates to the KDE Plasma Workspaces, KDE Applications, and the KDE Platform. It also contains several new features, stability improvements and speed increases. Don’t worry, it don’t have any scary changes like in Gnome 3!
