With a recent blog post, Google announced that they have taken more steps to detect and remove bad ads from their network. Today when I was searching in Google, I noticed that some of the ads in their own site contain phishing links! The ad points to a site which have the same address as the original one but with a small spelling mistake. Some people might think its the real site and click it because it’s at the very top. But my Wot plugin gave a Red flag saying that it’s a bad idea to click it!
There are loads of bad ads like this still in Google’s ad network. I hardly trust their ads… But we should agree that handling these ads is not easy. So, Google have just made some more changes to their system so that they can constantly monitor the advertisers with the automated system and even manually if required. Once detected as a bad ad, the publisher will be banned!
Now, you can also report these ads to Google… If you find a bad ad, simply go to the Google AdWords Counterfeit Goods Complaint form and fill it out!
