Google have been doing some improvements to their services recently. Now, some rumors state that they are going to alter their search engine to downgrade heavily Search Engine Optimized sites. If your site have too many keywords, too many links, you might be a victim. There are lots of sites which doesn’t have good content but they rank well in the search engines. The reason? They have tricked the Google Bot to think that they are useful. Those webmasters doesn’t think about the design and even the content they put. Some times they repeat the same thing.
According to Search Engine Land, Google might add a penalty to these sites in order to level things out. I don’t think we have to worry about that. We spend a lot of money to make all our sites useful and pleasant for the user. Recently, one of our readers have asked whether we are making a good profit with all these work. I gave a very good reply saying that we are not making our site for advertisers or for the Google Bot… We make them for the readers! But if you have gained all your glory by just using heavy SEO, you have to re think now…
