The Metro Version of Google Chrome Comes to Windows 8

Metro Version of Chrome

Google have just updated Chrome’s dev channel with the new Metro Styled Chrome. When comparing Metro styled IE 10 and the normal IE 10, there’s a huge difference. Most of the apps are like that. But Chrome… It haven’t changed much!

Things are a bit bigger in Metro Chrome. The menu items are taller and easier to touch. The tabs are also taller. But I think taller tabs look ugly. Normally, Chrome have a transparent windows. But since Windows 8 doesn’t support Aero, it’s going to get even uglier.

I don’t know about you but I don’t think there’s much difference between the Metro Chrome and the normal Chrome. It only got uglier! If you want to try it, install the dev channel of Chrome and make it the default browser in Windows 8. Then click the big Chrome button in the Metro Start menu. Finally, tell us what you think!

Currently, I'm preparing a delicious meal... I take ingredients from the tech world... I have already used 2 tea spoons of software, 3 table spoons of network, a cup of linux, a jug of web and many more tasty ingredients!

You’re right, and in a matter of fact, it doesn’t fully use the screen space! There’s like a black frame around the whole Metro app. Plus splitscreening works horribly… Right clicking around the borders is sooo weird! And there’s no Smooth Scrolling >.> Not even with an extension.

These are my frustrations I found just from using Metro Chrome for 10 minutes. Can’t wait for FF Metro!
