The WordPress development team have just released the new WordPress 3.4. The latest version brings some really useful features for theme customization. Earlier, we had only a simple editor to edit the theme files. When we are done, we have to save it and check it on the live site. But now, WordPress 3.4 have added Live Theme Previews! Before publishing the theme, we can use the Preview to customize the theme. Change colors, edit the header, change the layout, etc. All the changes will be instantly reflected on the preview.
Apart from that, now you can easily embed tweets on your posts. Just paste the url of the tweet. For example “https://twitter.com/TechHamlet/status/212581456948641795” (Paste it in the HTML editor and make sure it’s not wrapped with any HTML tags) and WordPress will nicely embed it as shown below :

Earlier, we were unable to add HTML into image captions. So, if we need to add the URL of the image source, we had to add it in the post. But now, HTML tags are accepted. See the above image. I have added a link in the caption!
Apart from those changes, more under the hood changes have been added specially to optimize the speed of the system. I actually felt a little performance boost. Did you?
