After several years, finally, Skype released a major stable version for Linux. When Microsoft acquired Skype, we thought the Linux version will be removed. But after some time, they made some minor updates to the software and now, the final stable release, Skype 4.0!

A new unified window, new call views, improved voice and video call quality, new emotions, support for more webcams, and many more features were added to this new release. The overall stability has also been improved.

Still it’s not beautiful as the Windows version but things will change in the future. I see a new alliance between Microsoft and Linux! What do you think?

Ahh interesting I always wondered why  my skype had been in beta for so long.  I’m glad they finally released an official version, especially since I  always on skype.
