Apple iPhone 5 is going to be one of the compatible devices with UAE’s high speed frequency SmartPhone technology. It is required to get the approval from the labs at UAE, showing that it is compatible for supporting one of the frequencies in UAE said by the Executive director “Tariq Al Awadi” of TRA (Telecommunications Regulatory Authority). The entire decision will depend on when iPhone 5 will be available in UAE and get the approval from TRA.
Currently out of 2 high speed frequency bands available in UAE 2.5 GHz and 1.8 GHz, Apple iPhone 5 supporting 1.8 GHz frequency, but still it requires few minute changes in the OS of the devices. The problems with the frequency compatibility came into light late the previous year after the launch of Apple’s New iPad. Somehow the Apple iPhone 5 is available in Grey Market at UAE and is expected to hit the market official in couple of months and the details of Broadband and Phone Packages will be announced soon.
