The official launch event of Windows 8 is scheduled for the 26th of October. But, Microsoft decided to make China the lucky country to get Windows 8 first. They have already unveiled the new OS in China. The Chinese people got a glimpse on whats coming next.
But still, Windows 8 won’t go on sale until the 26th of October. The whole world will get it on that day. But China just saw it first. Some say that its done to reduce the piracy issue in China. Many people still use a huge amount of pirated copies of Windows. The main reason is the big price tag. But Windows 8 is a lot cheaper than its predecessors. So, it surely have the power to greatly reduce piracy. But due to its big change, it also have a power to send user away from it to Linux. But lets see what happens before jumping into any conclusions!
